Marlin Cove is not one, but five, separately owned parcels in Foster City, and includes a commercial project constructed in 1972. The parcels were assembled for extensive redevelopment into a new 75,000 square foot retail/office complex – a project designed to harmonize with 280 residential apartments developed simultaneously by M.H. Podell Company. Close collaboration with government agencies and community interests accelerated approvals, and facilitated the process of securing a significant grant from the Foster City Community Development Agency and, for the residential component, tax-exempt bond financing. A strong tenant mix occupies the retail component and draws shoppers from beyond the projected trade area.
